Starting Life Over After 58

Hi, I’m Cynthia Broyles,

I never imagined I would be starting my life over at 58 years old.

Life had been good. I had been married to my husband for 40 years, and like most couples, we had plans for our future and our retirement.

Then COVID came—and everything changed.

My husband was diagnosed with stage four cancer, and just 8 months later, he was gone.

I didn't just lose my husband...Our retirement savings were gone. I lost three-quarters of our household income. And suddenly, every bill, every responsibility, and every decision was mine.

My whole world had been turned upside down.

I remember sitting there wondering…How am I going to keep my home?  How am I going to pay these bills?  And how in the world am I going to rebuild the retirement we had spent so many years preparing for?  I was scared. I felt completely lost.

But there was one thing I knew for certain…I didn't want to become a financial burden on my children.

I needed to find a way to make more income.  And at my age, I honestly didn't know where to begin.

Then one night, something happened that changed the direction of my life.  I came across a free webinar that showed me another possibility…a way to start building additional income online while I continued working my nine-to-five.

I almost didn't attend.  I remember thinking, “Is this really going to help me?”  But then I thought…What do I have to lose? It's free.
So, I showed up.  And that one decision opened my eyes to possibilities I didn't even know existed.

That's when I began to understand something I wish someone had told me sooner:
 - Starting over doesn't have an expiration date.
 - You don't have to be 30 again.
 - You don't have to have everything figured out.
 - And you don't have to accept that struggling financially is simply part of getting older.

You can still create additional income...You can still rebuild your retirement...And you can still create choices for the years ahead.

I'm still on my journey,  I haven't reached the finish line yet...but I am getting closer to where I want to be.

I'm sharing what I'm doing because there may be someone reading this right now who feels exactly the way I did—scared, overwhelmed, and wondering if it's too late.  It isn't.  I started over at 58.

And if you're wondering what your next chapter could look like, maybe my story can help you begin yours.
